As children move into the tween season of life, they naturally begin to question the world around them. Having been equipped with foundational facts about what makes up this world (Grammar Stage), we move into the next level of thinking - questioning what we know. In the Logic stage of the classical approach, we teach students how to think through arguments, what makes a good argument and what makes are poor argument, and how to build arguments that are based on truth. They will build skills in critical thinking, doing research, and articulating their findings in the form of a research paper. With the reality of our changing world, we want to equip our students to think through what is good, true, and lovely, while being able to identify illogical arguments, discern truth from falsehood, and thinking rightly about culture around them.
